How To Grow Radish
Quick Guide:
- Memeber of the brassica family so do not manure.
- Soil free from stones, moisture retentive, fertile.
- Full sun but cool.
- Harvest 4-8 weeks
- Sucessive sowing prevents glut, leave week gap
- General fertilser a couple a weeks before sowing
- Late Febraury, March sow under cloches
- Depth 1cm (1/2 inch), distance apart 2cm (about an inch), distance between rows
15cm (6"). Increase distances for winter varieties to 15cm (6") apart rows 23cm
(9").
- Keep soil moist.
- Harvest when required, left they go woody.
