Signs and symptoms:

Irregular holes are eaten in the foliage in the spring and
early summer.
Biological control method:
Look for the the scarlet beetles and remove and destroy. Also
look out for the larvae which have reddish-yellow bodies which they cover in a
slimy, black layer of their own excreta.
